When the world slows down
Those of you that do systems/network work will know what I’m talking about, as for the rest of you, let me tell you about quiet time. Quiet time is what I like to call the calm before the storm. When you’ve cleaned up the last emergency, and for the moment, your only real job is to wait around for the next one to happen. This is the time when you get to do little things like reloading the OS on an older server, running an extra tape backup for good measure, cleaning your desk, spellchecking your blog posts, etc.
Which brings me to the point of this post. You should enjoy some quiet time at work today, kick back, and devote a 15 minute break to the good ‘ol LiteBrite.
